VINTAGE NURSERIES ADDS OLIVE TREES
TO ITS EXTENSIVE LINE OF PRODUCTS

Vintage Nurseries, one of North America’s largest and most respected grapevine nurseries, has announced that it now is also offering NursTech Super High Density (SHD) olive trees as part of its extensive inventory. These quality SHD varieties, which require less crop space for growing, produce several different California extra-virgin olive oil types. Included in the offerings are Arbequina Clone i-18, Arbosan Clone i-43 and Koroneiki Clone i-38.
The Arbequina is known for its uniform ripening and its small, high-yielding olives that thrive even in poor soil conditions. This delicate, fragrant olive features intense fruitiness, with hardly a hint of bitterness.
The Arbosana is a late-maturing, high productivity variety that is resistant to Leaf Drop and to cold weather. This fruit produces a spicy, rather bitter oil with strong character and a pleasing aroma.
Originally cultivated on the low hillsides and coastal plains of Crete, the Koroneiki variety is a small, warm weather olive that adapts well in high-density orchards. It produces a dark green oil with a highly complex flavor and excellent stability.
“Our addition of NursTech SHD olive trees is another reflection of Vintage Nurseries’ solid commitment to service and selection,” said Dustin Hooper, Sales and Marketing Executive with Vintage Nurseries. “We are always listening to our customers and looking for ways to expand offerings that increase their opportunities for success.”
